Residential Life Coordinator - September 2014

Welcome Class of 2018!

My name is Amelia Shaw, and I am one of the Residential Life Coordinators in the First Year Area. By now, all of you have met your Resident Mentor, experienced Convocation, and completed your first day of classes! As you continue to settle into your new room and hall, it is important to remember the numerous in-hall resources at your disposal.

The biggest resource you have within Residential Life is your Resident Mentor (RM). Your RM is here to help you every step of the way. Have concerns about your hall, roommate, or classes? Want more information about campus organizations, offices, and resources? Just head on over and knock on your RM’s door!

Make sure to take some time and explore your building, which is another campus resource. Within your building are shared study areas, recycling locations, and bulletin boards full of information. Plus, you never know who you will run into while wandering the halls. Remember, your hallmates are going through the same transition. Take some time to get to know one another, you could build a lasting friendship!

Once again, welcome to Trinity University. Rachel Boaz and I, the First Year Area Residential Life Coordinators, are elated to have you on campus. We are excited to see what you are going to accomplish throughout the course of this year!
